Board of Directors

A nonprofit Board of Directors governs Migrant Health Promotion by setting policy and direction for the organization.

The Board of Directors includes members from across the nation, meets in person quarterly and conducts committee business between meetings.  Twelve to seventeen members serve on the Board and at least half of the members are constituents of Migrant Health Promotion.  Four seats on the Board are reserved especially for farmworkers and several Promotores(as) and former farmworkers also fill the seats reserved for migrant health providers and other professionals.  Additional members provide specific expertise, such as legal, fundraising, evaluation, accounting and other skills.

Migrant Health Promotion's Board of Directors governs by consensus.  Currently, the Board President is Rudolfo Sanchez, Attorney, Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, Inc.
