The Farm Labor Organizing Committee, AFL-CIO (FLOC) is a union representing migrant farmworkers. Since 1968 FLOC has organized farmworkers to build a collective farmworker voice and make structural changes in the agricultural industry. Structural changes address the basic power relationships that drive modern agriculture. Without a union for farmworkers, corporate processors have almost all the power, growers have a little and farmworkers have none. With a union, processors and growers recognize that farmworkers have legitimate interests and bargaining rights to protect those interests.
