"I worked in the fields for ten years. It's not at all easy working in the fields, in bad weather, getting wet. That's why we work as Promotoras de Salud, because we know how it is. You work with passion, and with more love toward the people. As Promotoras we can reach communities that are isolated and lack economic resources, and we can explain to them that they can get help. You realize all that you can do in the community when you see people walking, reading nutrition labels and eating more healthy food. It's very satisfying. What we are doing as Promotoras is very important. The people realize it, and we ourselves realize it."
