Getting Funding

“You are amazing. It is obvious you do grants.... Again, thanks so much for really taking the time to comment on our grant proposal and make it a stronger application.”-Mary Watson, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, La Clinica de Baldwin, AL

Organizations serving farmworkers and their communities commonly struggle to fund Promotor(a) programs. For this reason, Migrant Health Promotion’s Capacity-Building Team works with you to secure the resources you need for your program. We provide:

  • Consultation about designing your program, including objectives, evaluation plans, staffing and budgets.
  • A “Guide to Grant Opportunities and Resources” for Promotor(a) Programs.
  • A Promotor(a) Funding Email Group to alert you to funding opportunities.
  • Sample Grant Proposals to give you key language to use and an example to follow.
  • Sample Program Budgets to give you an idea of how much programs cost and what expenses to budget.
  • Assistance with Evaluating Your Program and sample documentation tools.
  • A review and critique of your grant proposal.
  • Letters of support, highlighting the success of the Promotor(a) model and offering our assistance with program implementation and evaluation.
